Destiny USA Time Lapse of Gerharz Equipment Restaurant Installation
Craft Brewed Media recently had the opportunity to work with Gerharz Equipment at Destiny USA. Gerharz Equipment is located in Syracuse, NY and is a leader in food service equipment, supply and design solutions. With over 40 years in the business, Gerharz Equipment has worked with many restaurants, schools, grocery stores and many other food service facilities to provide the highest quality products at the most competitive prices. They take time to understand every customer’s individual needs to deliver results that are on time and within budget.
The Project:
Gerharz Equipment prides themselves on customer satisfaction and wanted to develop a video to promote their delivery and install services from start to finish, but needed a way to show a complete project from start to finish in a short video. Time lapse video has the unique ability to be able show a complex or long process within a few minutes. Construction projects like this are a great example.
The project took place at the all new TGI Friday’s location inside Destiny USA and consisted of four locations throughout the restaurant (dish room, food prep area, cook line and main bar location). The equipment installation took place for six days. All four of the locations were wired with time lapse cameras and were set to capture images every 5 seconds. Each camera captured approxomatly 4,000 photos per day.
After the final day of shooting time lapse video, our team at Craft Brewed Media returned to the restaurant with normal high definition cameras to capture real time video to include in the final project. This gave us the opportunity to show a “final” picture of the complete installation.
Creating The Final Project:
Now it was time to pull everything together and create a video that displayed the complete process from start to finish. This took some time. Each location that was filmed in the restaurant had its own set of videos. Our team had to study each video, pull out the footage we needed for the final project and stitch everything together to create one complete video. We also had to edit the “real time footage” for the final “complete” shot of each location. Once this was done, it was time to add video transitions, music, logos and a voiceover. Throughout this process, our team at Craft Brewed Media worked with Gerharz Equipment to make sure that all of their expectations were met.
In the end, Craft Brewed Media provided a complete video of all six days of installation that was able to showcased in a matter of minutes.
